SoHi netters drop a pair to Bears

Kardinals lose to Seward before putting it together against Heritage

The Kodiak volleyball team swept a pair of matches from Soldotna on Friday and Saturday in Kodiak.

On Friday in a Northern Lights Conference match, the Bears notched a 14-25, 30-28, 25-17, 25-21 victory.

On Saturday in a nonconference match, the Bears won 25-11, 24-26, 25-22, 25-17.

Kenai netters split nonconference matches

The Kenai Central volleyball team lost at Seward on Friday and defeated Heritage Christian at home on Saturday.

Friday, Lindsey VonBorstel had 11 service points and one ace to lead the Seahawks to a 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 victory over the Kardinals. Stephanie Fleetwood and Katie Peck led the Seahawks in blocks and kills, while Janessa Anderson led her team in assists.

Saturday, Kenai defeated Heritage 25-13, 25-17, 25-16. In the second game, Mariah Hundorff had 10 service points for the Kardinals. In the third game, Katie Foley had 10 service points to lead the Kardinals.
