Safety efforts will go a long way

Special thanks to the community personnel who helped present the very successful disaster training to the Soldotna area school staffs.

In particular, we appreciate the efforts and dedication of Soldotna Police Officer Tony Garcia, Glenda Landua, Lesley Quelland, Mike Huckaby, Mike McConahy, Cory Lehl and all the others who provided training in the framework for protecting students, staff and school facilities in the case of a disaster.

While we all hope that we never experience emergency or disaster situations, we will be better able to confront them, thanks to these individuals.
