Subsistence Moose

Aug. 26 under an Anchorage dateline, are asked to use the following story.

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- In an Aug. 26 story about subsistence moose hunting regulations in western Alaska, The Associated Press erroneously reported on changes to regulations.

The federal subsistence board has taken special action to help Yukon villages hurt by poor salmon returns by opening subsistence moose hunting in the Innoko National Wildlife Refuge on Aug. 25 and extending it to Sept. 4.
