Per Osmar makes it easier for those traveling Clam Gulch Beach Road

On behalf of the Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, I would like to thank Mr. Per Osmar for his recent efforts that improved the Clam Gulch Beach Road.

Local residents and visitors who traverse the Clam Gulch Beach access road are now able to travel this road much easier and safer thanks to Mr. Osmar coordinating a volunteer fund-raising project that repaired this popular beach access road. Gravel fill was added and deep potholes were removed that had been major obstacles for motorists traveling this road. This project will hopefully provide a temporary repair until the road is improved with federal highway funds in 2004.

I would also like to extend my appreciation to the many people who donated money to Mr. Osmar's Clam Gulch Beach Road Fund. Without Per's coordination and generous support from the public, this project would not have been completed.
