ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The driver of a sport utility vehicle had been drinking before he was involved in an accident in which a motorcyclist was killed, according to Anchorage police.

Robert Thomas, 45, was killed in the accident Saturday at the intersection of DeBarr and Muldoon roads in Anchorage.

Police said Walter Pease, 44, had been drinking prior to the accident. Police also have concluded that Thomas' motorcycle had the right of way when the accident occurred. Pease was not injured.
