Longtime Sterling resident Robbie R. Renfrow died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, surrounded by her family at her home in Sterling. She was 70.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at Peninsula Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the services at the Spruce Grove Memorial Park in Kasilof.
Mrs. Renfrow was born Aug. 28, 1933, on her family's ranch in Cotulla, Texas. She moved with her family to Sterling in July 1967.
"She will be remembered for her helping nature and her generous heart. Robbie touched many lives with her pots of coffee and round-table advice. Robbie spent many hours in volunteer work for the Sterling Elementary School and was the first 'official' soccer mom," her family said.
Mrs. Renfrow was an accomplished artist and her professional life included business owner, rancher and process server.
Mrs. Renfrow was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Hattie Pugh; and her brother, James Roy Pugh.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jesse M. Renfrow; children, LeAna Moore and husband, Jeff, Cricket Renfrow and Wayne Renfrow and wife Fern; grandchildren, Krystal and Jesse Moore, Quilla, Robbie Caye, James and John Zimmerman and DeShawna, Moses, Gloria, Crystal, Catherine and Victor Renfrow; great-grandchildren, Jillyan and T.J.; nephews, James and Jack Pugh; and step-children, Brandy, Anita and Mark Renfrow and their families.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
