Donations help Racing Lions, community and beyond

Posted: Tuesday, August 31, 2010

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions Motocross Division assists our local community and beyond by local donations and membership to our club.

We hold local and state sanctioned races that bring motocross riders and their families from Anchorage, The Valley, Bethel, Kodiak and Fairbanks to the Peninsula to enjoy racing and spending a weekend on the Kenai.

To be of the standards of a state sanctioned race, a well groomed track with plenty of dirt must be available.

Enter Alaska Road Builders as they have delivered thousands of yards of useable dirt for our track and improved our track ten times over.

Some of this dirt was also used to help our sister club for the Circle Track stock car races adjoining our track.

We are looking forward to expanding our parking lot for next years races to further accommodate campers for out of town racers visiting the Kenai.

The expanded parking lot will provide a place for more out of town racers to camp and enjoy the Kenai and will benefit the Kenai overall by their patronage to local establishments.

Thank you again to Alaska Road Builders and especially Pete Hoogenboom for this donation.

It is truly appreciated.
