Celeste Renee Culbert-son and Adam Trayner Deem, both of Anderson, Calif., were married June 29 at Liberty Hill Christian Church in Cottonwood, Calif. Nick Rogers performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lee and Paulette Culbertson of Kenai. She is a 1992 graduate of Kenai Central High School and a 1997 graduate of University of Alaska Anchorage, where she got a teaching degree. She got her master's degree in counseling in 1999 from Alaska Pacific University. She works as a counselor and at-risk teacher in Shasta Country, Calif.
The groom is the son of Don and Joy Deem of Murphys, Calif. He graduated from Brett Hart High School in 1994 and Humboldt State University in 1999 with a degree in forestry. He is employed as a director of marketing and sales for Alpine, a private forestry consulting firm.
The bride wore a full-length white satin gown with short lace sleeves and a chapel length train. The maid of honor was Kim Culbertson, the bride's sister, who wore a pastel yellow satin gown and carried a bouquet of pastel roses.
The best man was Travis Deem, the groom's brother. The ring bearer was the bride's black lab, Kody, who wore a white bow tie.
The groom sang "I Love The Way You Love Me" to the bride. A reception was held at Anderson-Cottonwood Neighborhood Church.
The couple met while hiking in the Trinity Alps of northern California. They both love the outdoors. They took an 11-day honeymoon in Mexico's Mayan Riviera. They live in Anderson, Calif.
