School pictures will be taken today.

Third-graders in Mrs. Wannamaker's class will enjoy activities outside the classroom on Sept. 8. They will address friendship skills while bowling at Alaska Lanes, eat lunch and play at the Kenai green strip park, and then meet up with Mrs. Gustkey's fifth-grade students for a multiage viewing of the art at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center.

Mrs. Keating's fifth-graders will take a "Leave No Trace" field trip Sept. 16 and 17. Parents will chaperone.

Mrs. Berkhahn, a Fish and Game biologist, gave a watershed presentation to Mrs. Heath and Mr. Knudsen's classes to prepare them for their field trip to the Russian River Falls on Thursday. These students will participate in the salmon incubation project this school year, and this is the initial stage of this yearlong event.
