Addictions group meets

Reformers Unanimous, a Christ-centered addictions program, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at Immanuel Baptist Church. For more information, call 283-9361.

Clothes closet opens

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will offer free clothing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in the garage at 119 Little St., off of Binkley.

Clothes available

Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. It is in the back of the parking lot of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

Awana classes set to begin

College Heights Baptist Church will begin Awana classes from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning this week, at 44440 Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Awana is a weekly program for kids with games, Bible memory and a chapel time. The program runs throughout the school year. For more information, call 262-3220, from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Nikiski Aglow begins Bible classes

Nikiski Aglow will begin an 11-week Beth Moore’s Bible study series on the life of Paul at 9:30 a.m.Wednesdays, beginning this week at the North Star United Methodist Church of Nikiski. It is open to all ladies. For more information, call Bev at 776-8022.

Kenai Christian Church will hold fall Bible classes beginning Thursday. Child care for preschool children will be available. For more information or a list of classes, call 283-4559.

Women’s Bible class planned

First Baptist Church of Kenai will hold a women’s Bible study, “Daniel, Lines of Integrity, Words of Prophecy” at 10 a.m. Thursday. Childcare will be provided. For more information, call 283-7772 or 283-7672.

School supplies sought

Blessings Galore, a nonprofit clothing closet, is holding a back-to-school drive for school supplies. Donations of backpacks, glue (sticks and regular), scissors, pens, pencils, notebooks (spiral and binders), socks, underwear (packaged), notebook paper, erasers, rulers, etc., will be given out free of charge to families who are in need. Items may be dropped off between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at College Heights Baptist Church at 44440 Kalifornsky Beach Road and at Peninsula Grace Brethren at 44175 K-Beach Road. Kids’ night out slated

The Lighthouse Community Church will host Kids’ Night Out from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays beginning Sept. 10. Van rides will be available. Children in grades kindergarten through sixth are eligible to attend. For more information, call 776-8234 or 252-4454.

Fall Bible planned

Soldotna Day Aglow will hold a 12-week Bible study called “Hearing the Voice of God,” by Mark and Patti Virkler.
