Baggs, Nelson take to the sky for marriage

Shanna Baggs and Kurt Nelson tied the knot in an unusual wedding ceremony Aug. 6. The couple was married in a chartered airplane above the Harding Ice Field. They were married by the groom's mother, Nancy Eoff, a marriage commissioner.

The bride is the daughter of Roseanne and Gary Murray of Red Bluff, Calif. She wore a sleeveless white gown.

The groom is the son of Kurt and Vicki Nelson and Nancy and Gary Eoff.

A reception was held at Don Jose's in Kenai following the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Red Bluff Union High School and is employed at the Soldotna Landfill.

The groom graduated from Soldotna High School and is employed by Carlile Ent. Inc.

The couple lives in Sterling.
