Luncheon brings back memories

Posted: Wednesday, September 03, 2003

We would like to thank Rachel and her staff at the Kenai Senior Center and all the volunteers who helped make our Old-timers Luncheon a success. We know this was a lot of extra work, and we appreciate it.

Those attending came from surrounding areas including Anchor Point, Ninilchik, Clam Gulch, Kasilof, Soldotna, Sterling, Mackey Lake, Kenai, North Kenai and Nikiski plus a few visitors from out of state.

We hope all of the 186 guests had fun greeting old friends, visiting with neighbors of days gone by and listening to Jean Brockel singing our old favorite songs.

Watch the paper next August for the date of the 2004 lunch. You said you wanted one again, so it will happen.

Great to see all of you,

Joanna Hollier and Peggy Arness

Kenai
