The volunteers, staff and board of directors of Hospice of the Central Peninsula wish to express our appreciation to the Kenai Peninsula Board of Realtors for its continued support and commitment to our organization. We thank all those who worked so hard and those who participated in the Realtors' annual Spring Fling for Hospice. Special thanks to Dorothy Cunningham for her efforts to organize this special event.
At the annual Realtors meeting, our organization was presented with a check in the amount of $8,730! Hospice will use these funds to train our family and bereavement volunteers. Last year, 25 volunteers provided services to 115 hospice clients and their family members, more than 1,300 hours of care and comfort to the dying and bereaved.
Our annual fall hospice orientation and training for the community and persons interested in becoming hospice volunteers will be conducted through the Soldotna Community Schools Fall Program. Volunteers are needed in all areas of hospice work. Persons interested in participating in the training, please call the hospice office and give us your name and address. We would love to have you join us and will send you an agenda.
Thanks again to our wonderful community of Realtors who have sincerely given their hearts to hospice.
