Coconut-Rum Balls

1 12-ounce box vanilla cookies, crushed

1 cup chopped walnuts

3 1/2 ounces sweetened flaked coconut

1 12-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup rum

Powdered sugar


Powdered cocoa

Line cookie sheet with waxed paper

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and mix well. Chill for four hours.

Using your hands or a measuring spoon, shape the mixture into smooth, 1-inch balls. Place on a prepared cookie sheet.

Place powdered sugar in a pie plate. The balls can be coated with coconut, powdered sugar or cocoa. Store covered in the refrigerator.

This recipe contains alcohol and should be marked when made so children don't accidentally eat it.
