Sprint Invite wraps up

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions - Circle Track Division hosted the final day of the 2004 Sprint Invitational at Twin Cities Raceway Saturday.

Winners were John McDonald in the 410 Sprint Cars, Cameron McGahan in the 360 Sprint Cars, Billy Magers in the Late Models, Justin Haxton in the B-Stocks and Jenn McKee in the A-Stocks.

The next races at the circle track at Twin Cities Raceway will be Sept. 11, with time-ins at 4 p.m. and racing starting at 5 p.m. Monday will be the last pavement race for Quarter Midgets. The race will be at 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Nikiski recreation center.

B-Stocks: 1. Justin Haxton; 2. No. 47; 3. Terry McGahan; 4. Joey Essex; 5. Chris Thompson; 6. Richard McGahan; 7. J.C. Herbert.

Late Models: 1. Billy Magers; 2. Jay (Swervin) Irving; 3 (tie). Mike Young and Terry Bundtrock.

360 Sprint Cars: 1. Cameron McGahan; 2. Pete Ischi; 3. Ernie Seager; 4. Randy Barnes; 5. Doug Fischer; 6. Ken Elliott. Limited sprint Jerry Mitchell also ran in the races.

410 Sprint Cars: 1. John McDonald; 2. Todd Van Husen; 3. Bob Erdman; 4. Cameron McGahan.
