KENAI (AP) -- A teenager accused of firing a pellet gun on a father and his 4-year-old daughter has been charged with felony assault, Kenai police said.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon near a Williams Express store on the Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai, police said.
Raymond Hensley, 31, of Kenai was cutting the grass near the trees south of the store when he said he felt something hit him in the left buttocks. His daughter, KathLynn Payton, was hit in the back by a second shot.
Kenai Police Sgt. Scott McBride said officers arrived and were able to locate both juveniles. One of the two 15-year-olds, the one who was determined to be the shooter, was charged with two counts of felony assault. The other youth was not charged.
