Ninilchik resident Pamela Kay Sawle-Self died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at her home in Ninilchik of cancer. She was 48.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Full Gospel Church in Ninilchik, next to the Ninilchik Post Office. Pastor Jim Kruse will officiate. A gathering and potluck will follow the services at the Ninilchik Senior Center.
Mrs. Sawle-Self was born Sept. 11, 1954, in Oakland, Calif. She was raised in Willits, Calif., and graduated from Willits High School. She and her husband moved to Ninilchik in June 1997. Mrs. Sawle-Self worked at the Ninilchik General Store and the Boardwalk Caf in Ninilchik. She was a member of the Ninilchik Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed making jewelry, quilting, knitting and gardening.
Mrs. Sawle-Self was preceded in death by her stepfather, Larry Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Self of Ninilchik; son, Travis Scott of Soldotna; daughter, Jenee' Scott of Kenai; mother, Marylin Pender of California; father, James A. Sawle of California; brother, Dennis Sawle of California; sisters, Jerry Caudle of Ukiah, Calif., and Kim Figg-Hoblin of Willits; and grandsons, Anthony and Nathon Scott, both of Kenai.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
