Posted: Tuesday, September 05, 2000

Behind three touchdowns and 100 yards rushing from Tyler Blewett, Bartlett defeated Kenai 33-8 Saturday afternoon in nonconference football action at Anchorage Football Stadium.

Kenai (1-3 overall) actually got on the scoreboard first in the game when Dominic Plasencia and Ross Baldwin tackled Bartlett's Boaz Gionson in the end zone.

However, the Golden Bears then ripped off 33 straight points before Wally Ward connected with Brad Burck for a 36-yard touchdown pass with 6:53 left in the game.

Sophomore Cory Janson collected most of Kenai's yards on offense, rushing 25 times for 130 yards.
