ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Residents of Anchorage and Eagle River could hear the sounds of demolition training Wednesday and Thursday coming from Fort Richardson.
Between 50 and 60 soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment were to engage in exercises involving bangalore torpedoes, detonation cord and plastic explosives.
The exercises were to run from about 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
