Three Kodiak residents indicted in meth bust

KODIAK (AP) -- Three Kodiak residents have been indicted in connection with a methamphetamine drug bust last week.

Graciano Suralta, 25, faces the most serious charge for allegedly dealing drugs to minors. It carries a five- to 99-year sentence. Susan Ledoux, 19, and Cassie Carlsen, 18, received less severe charges.

All defendants have pleaded not guilty.

The charges allege that Suralta manufactured the drug commonly referred to as speed, stored felony quantities of it at his apartment, then sold it out of his home and elsewhere.

The prosecution contends Ledoux, Suralta's live-in girlfriend, acted as an accomplice in manufacturing or delivering the drug, and that she kept and distributed the drug in the apartment she shared with Suralta.

Carlsen is charged with two counts of selling or delivering the drug.

Trials are set for December.
