What a wonderful community we live in!

Sue Gill with Alaska’s Hairlines, Glen and Becky Martin (former owners) of Peninsula Center Mall, along with all the merchants in the mall would like to say a great big thank you! Pulling together and sharing our talents made for another successful year for our community, the contestants and volunteers of “Sing From The Heart.”

Our volunteer judges were incredible, offering gentle words of correction to help improve each person’s talents.

Emotions and Stress run high during the contest, for families as well as contestants. The contest is more of a chance for each singer to grow and improve. We all see this as the contest goes on, a wonderful transformation to witness. I really see some of our contestants going on to be Big Stars someday. I know I will remember their names. Their dream will take them as far as they wish to go.

All of us showing up to support and encourage them we were telling them to reach for that star with their name on it! Thank you again, to everyone who gave a piece of their heart to make this wonderful “Sing from the Heart” contest a huge success.

We hope to see you again in 2007 for our 4th Annual “Sing from the Heart” contest. A special thank you to all parents and merchants who donated monies ($2,053) for the prize presented to the contest winner.
