KETCHIKAN (AP) -- A fisherman was killed in Ketchikan when he was crushed between the side of a fishing vessel and an airport floatplane dock, the Coast Guard said Wednesday.
Crew member Jeremiah Cassin, 20, died at the scene. His body was taken to Ketchikan General Hospital.
The accident occurred as crew members were mooring the Island Dancer, a 68-foot, steel-sided fishing boat. One of the crew said Cassin fell into the water before he was crushed.
