Crusade set at Kalifonsky center

The Glory and Healing Crusade with Todd Bentley will be held today through Tuesday at Kalifonsky Christian Center on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Those who need healing are encouraged to attend. Evening services are at 7, and Sunday services are at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. For more information, call 283-9452.

Soldotna chapel to host performer

Soldotna Bible Chapel will host Dennis Agajanian Saturday at 7 p.m. Agajanian is a frequent performer at Billy Graham Crusades and Promise Keepers. For more information, call 262-4865.

Teacher affirmation service planned

Soldotna First Assembly will host its annual teacher affirmation service Sunday at 6 p.m. The featured speaker is Larry Whitmore of Bartlett High School.

There also will be two special musical presentations from teachers and one from a student. Each teacher attending the service will receive a special gift of "The Prayer of Jabez" or "Secrets of the Vine," by Bruce Wilkinson. Afterward, there will be a cake reception for all school teachers.

Gospel meetings scheduled

The Funny River Road Church of Christ will hold gospel meetings with Bill Robinson Sunday through Sept. 14. Sunday's meetings will be held at 10 and 11:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. All other meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to meet

The Kenai-Soldotna Unitarian Fellowship group will resume weekly meetings beginning Sunday. The meetings are held at 10 a.m. Sundays at the Bridges Building, 145 Kasilof St. in Soldotna.

Unitarian Universalist is a liberal religion born of the Jewish and Christian traditions. Members also generally are active in social, political and environmental issues. The area fellowship is a discussion group led by members.

Workshop designed to help church staff

Love INC is offering the workshop Helping the Poor at Your Door with discussion and practical answers to help church staff determine how to respond to those who drop in at church offices seeking funds or other needs.

The workshop is Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the CARTS office, on Kalifornsky Beach Road near the Poppy Lane intersection. For more information or to R.S.V.P., call 283-5252.

Bible workshop offered

The Kenai Christian Church is offering a fall focus workshop, titled "How to Study the Bible," at noon Sept. 15. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $7 prior to Sept. 12 and $10 at the door. Preregistration is recommended. Lunch will be served at noon. Child care is provided.
