Margaret Jeanne Pate and Joseph Nightingale of Kenai were married at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at North Star United Methodist Church in Nikiski. The Revs. John Herny and Kenneth Pate officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Susan Pate of Muskogee, Okla. She graduated from Altas High School in Altas, Okla., in 1997 and Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City in 2000 with a bachelor of arts degree in religion.
For the ceremony she wore a strapless, silver embroidered empire-waist gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.
The maid of honor was Hollie Pate, the bride's sister. The bridesmaids were Joelle Parrott, Eva Hunt and Rachael Nightingale. They and the maid of honor wore forget-me-not blue sleeveless gowns and carried white roses and forget-me-nots.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Janice Nightingale of Nikiski. He is a 2000 graduate of Nikiski Middle-Senior High School.
The groomsmen were Gib Hunt, James Broussard and Matt Kester.
Bonnie Miller performed a solo for the ceremony.
A reception was held at the Unocal Recreation Site in Nikiski.
The couple plans to live in Kenai.
