Assistance made raft race go swimmingly

Once again the Moose River Raft Race was a success, thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, businesses, participants, those who made purchases and those who donated services and items for the auction.

A big thank you to those who volunteered time and made the day a success, they include: Besse Avery, Naomie Barker, Heather Besse, Terry Buffo, George Ivie, Barb Koval, Paul Koval, Paula Lee, Kevin McKinney, Kenny Merkes, Jennifer Quimby, Brent Roumagoux, Carol Schuld and Kristie Sipes.

We would also like to thank those who volunteered items and services for the auction. They include: Georgina Akers, Chris Allen, Pat Avery, Heather Besse, George Boyum, Car Wash Girls (Paula, Lynn, Annie and Kathleen), Brent Cook, Annie Graybeal, John Clonts, David Flickenger, Great Alaska Fish Camp, Gary Hopkins, Sarah Jebsen, Karri's Kastle Kleaners, K and K, Paul Koval, KSRM Radio and staff, Ralf Lane, Lynn Lund, Kenny Merkes, Gene Meyer, Mike's Welding, Kathleen Quelland, Riggs Enterprise, Sterling Shears, Washout, Mike Walker and Al White.

The proceeds from the auction were donated to the Sterling Community Club and will be used to maintain and improve the community club property.
