Wells Fargo renews donations program

Wells Fargo has brought back its Team Up for Our Schools program for a second year to help schools facing budget challenges. Through the program, Wells Fargo donated $32,000 to public school districts in Alaska last year. Nationwide, the company donated $2.9 million to more than 1,200 public school districts.

Wells Fargo will donate up to $40 to the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District for every new Wells Fargo checking package opened with selected services through Oct. 16. A checking package is a checking account, plus three additional services.

Also, this back-to-school season, Wells Fargo stores will collect school supplies to support area supply drives. To help Alaska's students and adults learn the money management skill they need to succeed, stores across the state are presenting the free Hands on Banking financial education program to schools and community groups.
