Reader thankful for Alaskans’ generosity

Posted: Friday, September 09, 2005

I just want to thank the people of Alaska for the support and prayers for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. My mom and three sisters were in her path. They live or I guess I should say they lived in Gulfport, Miss. They with thousands of others have lost everything.

The reaction and help from the people here have really made me proud to say I live in this state. I was able to get a hold of them and they were amazed by the love and support from here.

Thank you to me is not enough to express how I really feel. I guess there are no words I can use to describe my emotions on this.
