Kenai and Soldotna area resident Francina J. Frizzell died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at her home in Kenai. She was 70.
She will be laid to rest next to her mother in Montana near the beautiful Bitterroot river
Ms. Frizzell was born Feb. 11, 1940 in Oklahoma.
"She was free spirit and mother of three children, grandmother and great-grandmother.
"She never forgot birthdays or Christmas sending her love and whatever she had to give. She enjoyed sending her Montana family canned salmon and everyone appreciated and enjoyed it. Francina had a great laugh, loved to sing and enjoy her activities. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandbabies, boyfriend Tom Shannon and her Alaskan family the Merlos and many friends. She loved her doctors and caregivers, especially Dr. Fraser.
"Most of all she loved the Lord and had a special relationship with Him. She found much strength in her faith that carried her through much heartbreak, losing her son Gordie and mother Pauline Threlkeld. We are at peace knowing she is in the sweet arms of her Heavenly Father and in the assurance we will all meet again in heaven. 'Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life, I am the bread of life' (John 6:47-48)," her family wrote.
Ms. Frizzell was preceded in death by her son Gordon Burnham.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Joan Lockhart, Allen Gonzales Brazil, grandchildren Larry C. Lockhart, Christal Mousley and Aron Brazil; and great-grandchildren, Hadley Joan Lockhart, Jayce M. Mousley, and Cash M. Lockhart.
