Clothing to be given away
The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will open Clothes 4 U from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to give clothing to families and individuals. Everyone is invited to come and receive the warm clothing they need. The location will be at the church's mission house, 119 Little Ave. It's the first house behind the church building.
Bible study schedule announced
The women's ministry of Kenai Christian Church has announced its 2004 Bible study classes for the fall. Already under way are Wednesday evening classes titled, "Lord, I want to know you," by Kay Arthur. Beginning Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. will be "Believing God," a Beth Moore study. Back-to-school service planned
A special back-to-school service titled, "Dust off the Trust," will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Peninsula Christian Center behind The Salvation Army Store in Soldotna. The service will feature Phoebe's phobias with going back to school and traveling. Phoebe will be counseled by "Dr. Phil" and the "Crocodile Hunter" to put her trust in the Lord. The service also will include a Kids' Praise dance, a drama and Matrix will offer gas cards and gift bags.
Women's prayer group to meet
Nikiski Aglow has begun a Beth Moore Bible study that meets every Wednesday for the next seven weeks at 9:30 a.m. at the North Star Methodist Church, Mile 25 of the Kenai Spur Highway. For more information, call Bev Berdahl at 776-8022.
Family worship offered
Peninsula Grace Brethren Church on Kalifornsky Beach Road offers "The River at Grace" worship experience for the whole family Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to the informal worship meetings. For more information, call 262-6442.
