Every first and third Sunday of every month, seventh- through 12th-graders are invited to hang out at the Peninsula Grace Brethren Church youth center from 6 to 8 p.m. to showcase their talent from singing to beatboxing and poetry, or simply to hang out and enjoy a beverage from its coffee shop. Saint Luke Lutheran Church offers several faith strengthening opportunities during the week. The parish's Wednesday 10:30 a.m. fellowship/study is focusing on Leviticus. We attempt to cover one chapter a session and meet at 48095 Andrews Avenue for approximately one hour. Our Wednesday evening activities take place at the Parish Hall, 43055 Kenai Spur Highway, and consist of a potluck fellowship, Vespers Service and detailed analysis of basic Christian doctrine, currently focusing on the Holy Spirit's work in directing the Christian life. Kairos Outside Alaska is an ecumenical organization that ministers to just such women who have felt the alienation, frustration, and worthlessness often associated with having someone they love go to prison or having been there themselves.
