Airport tower was tipped off about World Trade attack

Posted: Tuesday, September 11, 2001

Atlanta, Georgia - Air traffic controllers at JFK National Airport in New York City intercepted communications this morning

that indicated the two planes that later crashed into the World Trade Center were in the control of terrorists, according

to IA sources with ties to U.S. intelligence. This is unconfirmed.

Since then President Bush has confirmed that the crashes were acts of terrorism. As IA has been reporting for months, U.S. intelligence and defense authorities have been on high alert for some time now, in fearful anticipation of just such an attack as today's. More as we learn it.
