We would like to take this opportunity to thank the local citizens of the Kenai Peninsula for their outstanding generosity during the recent Muscular Dystrophy firefighter "Fill the Boot" fundraising effort.
CES employees, family members and friends volunteered their time during the Labor Day weekend to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through the campaign. The community support was overwhelming.
We want to inform the community that through your efforts and generosity, we were able to raise $21,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The money raised in this effort will be used to assist Alaskans who suffer from all of the muscular disorders covered by the MDA. From your help, Central Emergency Services has raised more than $169,000 over the last 13 years for this worthy cause.
Once again, residents of the Kenai Peninsula have shown their giving and caring support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
