CPGH Inc., the nonprofit corporation that runs the borough hospital in Soldotna, is soliciting applications from people interested in filling a vacancy on the corporation board of directors.

Dolly Farnsworth, who was vice president of the CPGH Inc. board, resigned effective Aug. 31.

Any resident of the Central Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service Area, which collects property taxes to fund hospital services, is eligible to apply. The nine-member board meets the fourth Thursday of each month. Committee meetings, special meetings and workshops are held as required.

Applications are available from Dawn Robinson in the administrative office at the hospital, 262-8108. The deadline to apply is Monday at 10 a.m. For more information, call Diana Zirul, president of the CPGH Inc. board, at 283-5400.

Last month, Zirul said the board will consider who should replace Farnsworth during its next meeting, Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Iliamna Room in Central Peninsula General Hospital.
