Light quake shakes western Cook Inlet

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A light earthquake shook the area west of Cook Inlet early Thursday.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the magnitude 4.0 quake occurred at 8:38 a.m. and was centered about 35 miles east of Port Alsworth on Lake Clark.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
