Business contributions will help build more peaceful community

The Kenai Peninsula Youth Court and the Center for Mediation and Community Dialogue are collaborating on a Youth Mediation Project and have recently finished refurbishing a mediation room in the old Kenai courthouse.

We would like to thank Builders Bargains for contributing the wallpaper; Spenard Builders Supply-Kenai for donating cedar trim; and Columbia Paint for providing varnish, primer and paint at cost.

Also, Alyeska Pipeline Service Company donated used office furniture for use in this project and others; Carlile Transportation Systems transported the furniture at no charge; and the city of Soldotna has provided temporary storage while we work to develop suitable space for these programs.

These gestures of support demonstrate a material commitment on the part of area businesses and government to building a peaceful community on the Kenai Peninsula.
