New church begins

Family Bible Fellowship, a non-denominational church, will hold its opening service at 11 a.m. Sunday in a large remodeled garage on its property at 41212 Sterling Highway, Mile 91 in Soldotna.

People may begin to gather at 10:45 a.m.

Free clothes available

Clothes 4 U Ministry offers free clothing to benefit the community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at First Baptist Church Soldotna Mission House at 119 Little Ave. in Soldotna.

Grief support group to meet

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group.

Women's Bible study begins

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will offer women's Bible study "A Woman's Heart-God's Dwelling Place by Beth Moore from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Sept. 23. For more information and preregistration, call Sherry or Ruby at 262-4304.

Fall Bible study begins

The Soldotna Day Aglow will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Cohoe and Farnsworth behind The Salvation Army store for prayer and Bible study "Beloved Disciple" by Beth Moore. Fellowship and coffee will begin at 9:30 a.m. Baby-sitting will be provided.

Nikiski Aglow meeting set

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at New Hope Christian Fellowship at Mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship. For more information, call 776-8022, 776-8842.

Clothes Quarters open

The Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at 225 S. Spruce St. behind Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. The store sells clothes and free trade coffee.
