SoHi netters split in Kodiak

The Soldotna volleyball team lost the Friday Northern Lights Conference game at Kodiak before coming back Saturday to claim a victory.

The Stars are now 2-1 in the league and 3-1 overall.

On Friday, the Stars lost 27-25, 15-25, 25-20 and 25-16. Kaycee Munn and Kylee Woodford had 15 digs, Kaillie Skjold had 11 blocks (six stuff), Sydney Goggia had 10 blocks (four stuff) and three aces, Heidi Westerman had 18 assists, Munn added eight kills, Woodford had five kills and Lacey Moore had five kills.

On Saturday, the Stars came back rested and notched a 25-13, 26-24 and 27-25 victory. Woodford and Rebecca Satathite had nine digs, Goggia had nine blocks (one stuff), Woodford had seven blocks (three stuff) and Jessie Duke had six blocks (one stuff).

Also for the Stars, Munn had nine aces, Westerman had 13 assists, Duke had five kills and Moore, Goggia and Satathite each had four kills.
