Josephs celebrate 50 years together

John and Judy Joseph of Sterling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, 2010 at the Sterling Senior Center. The couple met on a blind date in 1958, and were married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Missoula, Montana, Sept. 3, 1960.

The couple moved to Anchorage in 1983, and to Sterling in 1988. Both John and Judy retired from the Anchorage School District, and currently operate the Silver Bullet Kenai River Guide Service and B&B, and work in real estate for Freedom Realty in Soldotna.

A private celebration was arranged by their three children, Shannon, Stacey and John, and their families. Their grandchildren are Max Ledesma, Nicholas Ledesma, Jonathan Joseph and Christopher Joseph.
