Chelsey D. Howard and Christopher G. Hudson were married in a Western-themed afternoon ceremony on April 25, 2010 at the M.D. Resort in Fort Worth, Texas. Pastor Danny Robinson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Nancy Myers of Kenai, and Curt Howard of California. She is a 2005 graduate of West Hills High School in Santee, Calif. She is employed at the VA hospital in Forth Worth.
She wore an allover lace A-line gown with chapel train and a beaded motif detail on the bodice. The veil was a two-tier fingertip-length scalloped edge with a beaded detail. For footwear she wore Tony Lama 3R Buckaroo boots with 16-inch Palomino calf leather uppers. She carried a bouquet of yellow sunflowers with white daisies.
Sister-in-law of the bride Caitlyn Hudson was the maid of honor and wore a midnight blue empire strapless knee-length dress with black cowboy boots.
The groom is the son of Bobby and Christina Hudson of Mansfield, Texas. He is a 2005 home-school graduate and works for Bell Helicopters in Hurst, Texas.
He wore a black Western cut suit with a white cowboy hat. The best man was Jeff Lopez, who also wore a black Western cut suit with a black cowboy hat. Christopher rode a white horse to the ceremony, and then the bride and her dad followed on horses. After the ceremony, husband and wife rode off on the horses.
A reception was held in the old barn at the M.D. Resort.
Honored guests included the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Harris of Soldotna and Pat Clontz of New Mexico; the bride's parents; the bride's brother, Jason Howard of the Philippines; the bride's uncle and aunt, Bill and Janis Ramsden of California; the bride's cousin, Jaums Harris of Kenai; the groom's grandmothers, Bettie Belitz of California and Linda Hudson of Texas, and the groom's uncle and aunt, David and Joann Hudson of Texas.
