Main, Ulrich wed in Soldotna

Summer Kathryn Main of Kenai and William Donald Ulrich of Eagle River were married at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003, at the Church of God in Soldotna. Pisa Faumui of the Kalifornsky Christian Center officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Sheryl Main of Kenai. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in 2002 and attended Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, Ore., from 2002 to 2003. She wore a white wedding gown and carried lavender roses.

The groom is the son of Carl Ulrich of Soldotna and Sharon and Mike Thomas of Palmer. He graduated from Benny Benson School in Anchorage in 2002 and is serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS George Washington.

Crystal Dawn Kensinger of Kenai, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Lisa Corbitt of Whitney, Texas, Amy Wilson of Scappoose, Ore., and Robin Mida, Meg Langvart and Jen Jenkins, all of Kenai. They wore ocean blue dresses and carried lavender roses.

The best man was David Derleth of Soldotna. The groomsmen were Alex Clifford, Steven Kimbell and Jack Matthews of Eagle River, Eddie Greenalge of Sterling and Carl Ulrich of Anchorage.

The bride's grandfather, George Meacock played "Just A Closer Walk With Three" on the accordion and Jessica Segura and William Kensinger, brother-in-law of the bride, performed a solo of "Amazed" by Lone Star.

Graham Anderson of Eagle River and Veronica Roberts and Anchorage also were involved in the ceremony.

A reception was held at the Kenai Merit Inn with a three-tiered white cake decorated with lavender roses called "rose garland."

The couple lives in Norfolk, Va., while the groom is in the Navy.
