The Kodiak swimming and diving team swept a tri-meet at Soldotna High School on Thursday afternoon.
The Bears' boys finished with 127 points, ahead of second-place SoHi (118) and Colony (60), while the Kodiak girls finished with 125 points, ahead of SoHi (114) and Colony (69).
Colony's Jeffrey Frey claimed both the 100 and 200-yard freestyles with times of 50.80 and 1:53.10, respectively. Soldotna's Winter Heaven won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.79 and also captured first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.95.
Also for the SoHi boys, Colin Dudley won the 100-yard backstroke and Forrest Eissler claimed the 100-yard breaststroke. The 200-yard medley relay team, comprised of Dudley, Eissler, Heaven and Daniel Speegle Evans, also took first place.
On the girls' side, Kodiak's Karen Philpot won both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races with times of 2:07.96 and 5:48.49, respectively. Also from Kodiak, Naomi Franquelin claimed the 200-yard individual medley in 2:17.96 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.36.
Soldotna's Lyla Marey won both the 50 and 100-yard freestyles in 25.21 and 55.88, respectively. Also for the Stars, Olivia Bowen placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.92 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team, made up of Randi Freestone, Michaela Shirnberg, Marey and Bowen, took first in 1:45.61.
