The regular registration deadline for the Oct. 23 administration of the ACT Assessment is Friday. The late registration deadline, which includes a $15 fee, is Oct. 1.
The ACT is administered in all 50 states, and test scores are accepted as part of almost every college's admissions process.
The three-hour test includes four parts: English, reading math and science. Beginning in February, an optional writing test will be added to the test. However, many colleges will not require the test.
The test costs $28. To register, visit www.actstudent.org. The Web site also provides sample tests and study materials.
