Congratulations to cross country runner Brian Beeson for placing among the top finishers in every race so far this season. Come cheer for him at regionals Sept. 25 in Su Valley. Thanks to Coach McKenney for his many years of dedication as CIA's cross country coach.

CIA Students of the Week are Ray Chumley and Johnny Peterson, for an awesome week at preschool; Matthew Daugherty, for thoughtfulness to others; Makenna Rosin, for kind generosity; Kayla Moore, for helpfulness on the playground; Caleb Lyons, for thorough completion of book report; Emma Selden, for outstanding care of turtles; Kirk Kibling and Kade Cooper, for huge improvement in school work; Stephen Webb, for excellent job stepping up to classroom; Jena Poppin, Cora Byrd and Phyllip Wisnewski, for being great new students; and Matthew Moffis, for excellent work in math.

Girls' volleyball, coached by Jana Query, will begin Monday.

The next parent-teacher fellowship meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 27. Two volunteer hours are earned for each family in attendance.

The jog-, bike- and work-a-thon fund-raiser will be Oct. 1. Students are encouraged to obtain sponsors. This event funds student activities and sports programs.
