Caregiver support meetings slated
The National Family Caregiver Support Program Alaska will offer caregiver support meetings from 10 a.m. to noon today at Independent Advantage Care and from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center. For more information, call 262-1280.
PSDRA schedules meeting

Hope comes to central peninsula
Hope Community Resources will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in celebration of its new office on the Kenai Peninsula. The nonprofit organization provides residential and vocational services to more than 700 individuals who experience developmental or other disabilities. The group has offices in Anchorage, Seward, Juneau, Kodiak, Dillingham, Barrow the Matanuska-Susitna areas and now on Kalifornsky Beach Road. For more information, call 260-9469.
TOPS Fall Rally scheduled
The Take of Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) Fall Rally will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Nikiski Chapter No. 188 and Kenai Chapter No. 189 will host. The theme is "Hand and Hand, Together We Can." Entertainment will be provided by Carol Ford and Ralph Carpenter. State king and queen, Don and Peggy Edwards, are the scheduled motivational speakers. Community dance planned
There will be an alcohol-free community dance from 8 to midnight Saturday at the Merit Inn in Kenai. A disc jockey will play a variety of music. Admission is by donation and by wearing a fun hat. For more information, call Tootie at 283-5747.
Candidate forum planned
The League of Women Voters will sponsor a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Borough Building for Kenai Peninsula Borough School Board and Assembly candidates. School board candidates will answer questions from 7 to 7:30. Assembly candidates from districts 3, 4 and 7 will speak from 7:30 to 8:30.
