Ground is broken for an expansion of the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon. The $1.2 million expansion will include a larger walk-in cooler and freezer, more storage, upgrades to the electrical and heating systems, a new entry and an improved reception room.
