Ms. Callahan was born Dec. 4, 1943, in Anchorage to Gladys and Andrew Anderson. She was married to John Callahan.

"Alice was a life long Alaskan with the exception of a few years in texas, were 2 of her children were born. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her children, Wayne,Alan,Patrick and angela. When she talked about them, she always had that little sparkle in her eye. But if you asked her children, the journey she made through life made all of them just as proud. She loved music such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Fats Domino and gospel. That passion for music was passed on to her kids. Music, cars, the outdoors and fishing all began with mom. Watching the old Western classics, especially anything with John Wayne, was a favorite pastime, but more than anything, she enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus Christ. She was always willing to lend a hand, and you didn't have to be related; she was fiercely protective of all her friendships they lasted decades. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten," her family said. "She is survived by many friends including Helen and Paul Riley, Alma Wingate, Bob and Virginia Rude and Ruth Demit, and Oreo the cat. She was looking forward to the births of her grandchildren, Ashtin and Angel Johnson."
