Bulldogs pulverize Service JV

The host Nikiski football team got three rushing touchdowns from Josh Winters Friday night as it squashed Service's junior varsity team 58-0.

The Bulldogs improved their record to 6-0 overall and have now outscored their opponents 221-33.

The Bulldogs, who held Service to minus 3 yards on offense, also got rushing touchdowns from Josh Reilly, Kyle Alexander, Chris McCaughey and Aaron Allen, and a receiving touchdown from David Holloway.

The Bulldogs travel to play Seward Saturday at 2 p.m.

The visiting Hawks broke open a close Great Land Conference game Friday with a 20-point fourth quarter to clinch a spot in the small-schools state playoffs.

Houston is now 3-1 in the GLC and 3-3 overall. Meanwhile, Seward falls to 1-2 in the Great Land and 2-3 overall.

Seward received its touchdowns from Victor Miller on a 81-yard pass from running back Zack Rininger and Jonah Swiderski on a 7-yard run.
