Spiritual Emphasis Week was celebrated last week with many activities. The elementary grades had chapel speakers, who spoke about the meanings of Biblical names, how God knows the future, prayer and salvation. While the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders went on hiking adventures to Hideout Trail, Russian River Falls and Centennial Lake.

The junior high went to Camp Kushtaka, and the senior high went to Camp Birchwood. The students had fun picnicking, hiking, playing games and drawing closer to each other and to God.

Frogs have taken over the preschool classroom. The class is learning that frogs grow in stages eggs, larvae and adults and can live up to 16 years. Ms. Becky thanks all the volunteers who helped prepare the classroom this year.

Students of the week are Elizabeth Dailey, Hilary Domke, James Feucht, Kody Knowles, Scott Litchfield, Emma Lyons, Jessica McNutt, Joe Murphy, Anna Nisler, Meghan Powers, Emily Pugmire, Sarah Seynei and Nicole Tieaskie.

The next junior high cross country meet will be Friday at Nikiski. The cross country running regionals for I, II and III A schools will be Saturday.

The jog-, bike- and work-a-thon is Sept. 26. Students are encouraged to obtain sponsors for the fund-raiser.
