Drydens celebrate 60 years together

Soldotna residents Jim and Eleanor Dryden will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Soldotna, at Sprucewood Lodge.

The couple was married Sept. 21, 1946, in Cambridge, Mass. They lived in Illinois from 1946 to 1964, where their children were born. They moved to Alaska in 1964 with their children, Norma, Nancy and James ll. The longtime residents were involved together in a land development business in Alaska.

Guests will include the couple’s children, Norma Dryden of Tofino, B.C., Nancy Adams of Newport Beach, Calif., and James O. Dryden ll of Walnut Creek Calif.; granddaughters and grandsons, Serena Green of Anchorage, Jessie Dryden of San Francisco, Jenna Adams of Newport Beach, Asia Dryden of Tofino and James Dryden lll of Walnut Creek.
