Airborne veteran proud of soldier

SSG Sal Giunta Co. B.2/503rd Infantry (ABN)

173rd Airborne Regiment "The Herd"

Staff Sgt Giunta will be the 1st living soldier awarded the Medal Of Honor since "The Nam" for his actions during Combat Operations in Afghanistan Oct.25, 2007.

This ParaTrooper is so very humble in his statements. "I was only doing my job. Any soldier in my platoon would have done the exact same thing in the same combat situation."

Where do we find young men such as this ? Where do they come from?

He has already earned the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge in previous deployments.

Deployment after deployment, year after year, these soldiers keep coming back time and time again.

You make this Ole ParaTrooper so very proud!

"ARMY Airborne All the Way"
